Raymond Ragland, III., M.D. joined the Hand Surgery and Rehabilitation Center of New Jersey in 2004. He has special interests in Distal Radius/Hand Trauma and Pediatric Hand Deformities.
Dr. Ragland attended the University of Pennsylvania where he received a B.A. in Biology. He received his commission in the United States Navy in 1992, after receiving his M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. His post-graduate training was done as an intern in general surgery at Bethesda Naval Hospital and he completed his orthopaedic residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., where he was a House Officer in the Department of General and Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Ragland received his fellowship training in hand surgery at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital (a University Hospital of Columbia University) in New York City.
Dr. Ragland is board certified. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Medical Association. He is on the medical staff of the Virtua Health System and Summit Surgical Center.
