Andrew B. Sattel, M.D. joined the Hand Surgery and Rehabilitation Center of New Jersey in 2001. He was previously in practice with a general orthopaedic group, where he concentrated his practice to problems of the hand and upper extremity.
Dr. Sattel received his B.A. degree from Dickinson College where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He obtained his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. He completed his surgical internship at the Medical College of Pennsylvannia, and his orthopaedic surgery training at the Grand Rapids Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program. He completed a hand surgery fellowship at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and an additional fellowship with the Philadelphia Hand Center, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
He has published articles, and has presented at orthopaedic and hand surgery specialty meetings. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Sattel is on the medical staff of the Virtua Health System.
